Another New Route

~ Riding off track of the road
Finding a new way to go.
Heading to the same old place
Always avoiding the same old chase.
Freeing yourself from the pain,
Leaving with nothing to have gained.
An empty look hidden in your eye,
Always on the lookout for a new place to hide;
Thick bushes, hedges, trees
Standing still with weakened knees.
Why do you hide from the streets?
With cars, while their horns bleet,
Headlights flashing in fast speeds
Not knowing where the road leads.
The pavement covers the once cherished grass.
Now we look around, all we see is glass.
More than normal houses, standing tall,
While another tree has to fall.
The beauty of the world tampered with,
And in return, have nothing to give.
Money is only on man's mind.
Where have they gone? The caring kind?
The good people now greedy,
The kind hearted now shifty,
The loyal now untrustworthy,
The sharing now selfish,
The open minded now biased.
What has come of this world,
That I now take a new route.
A new cat laying down uncurled.
Seeing another man, who only knows how to shoot.
Stop with the stoned hearts,
Don't let another soul part.
Theres more to life then money and cars,
Look up for once and see the stars.
See the beauty man has yet to kill,
And for once realise, while tearing up your bill. ~
